We know trust is the foundation of all healing. Just as you care for your clients, we are committed to caring for your information with respect and clarity. Here’s how we hold your privacy:
1. What We Collect
When you join the Collective, we may collect things like your name, business details, contact information, and the images or words you provide for your profile. If you use extra services, we may also gather website content, emails for review requests (with your permission), or scheduling details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use this information only to:
Build and share your profile on the Collective website.
Support your visibility through search, blogs, or events.
Communicate with you about Collective gatherings, opportunities, or updates.
Improve the way the Collective website functions for both members and visitors.
We will never sell or rent your information.
3. Your Control
You remain the owner of your information. You can ask us to update or remove your profile or details at any time. If you no longer want to be a member, we will honor your request to have your information removed from the site.
4. Sensitive Information (HIPAA)
For licensed healthcare providers, we understand the added responsibility of HIPAA compliance. We do not ask for or store your clients’ health information. If you choose to share client contact lists for review requests, we use respectful, neutral language and handle them carefully—but you may also opt out of this service entirely.
5. Reviews & Reputation Support
One of the ways the Collective strengthens visibility is by encouraging clients to share authentic reviews online. Positive reviews are a powerful way to build trust and help new clients discover your work.
Because some of our members are licensed healthcare providers, there are a few guidelines we honor:
Non-HIPAA Modalities (such as massage therapists not billing insurance, bodyworkers, energy workers, coaches, yoga teachers, musicians, artists, etc.):
The Collective can send automated review requests on your behalf, using neutral and respectful language.
HIPAA-Covered Practitioners (such as psychotherapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, naturopathic or functional medicine doctors, and dietitians): To protect your compliance, we do not send automated requests directly to your clients. Instead, we provide tools like review request templates, QR codes, or Collective-wide review links that you can share at your discretion.
This ensures every practitioner can benefit from our reputation-building efforts, while honoring the ethical and legal responsibilities of each healing discipline.
6. Cookies & Website Analytics
Our website may use simple cookies (tiny bits of data) to help us understand how people use the site. This helps us improve visibility for all members. You can turn off cookies in your browser if you prefer.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to keep your data safe—using secure systems, trusted software partners, and limited access. No system is perfect, but we are committed to treating your information as carefully as we would our own.
8. Communication Choices
You’ll receive updates and invitations from us as part of your membership. You can opt out of general emails, but some communications (like billing or essential site updates) are required to keep your membership active.
9. Questions or Concerns
If you ever feel unsure about how your information is used, reach out. We’ll answer your questions in clear language and with respect for your needs.
Our aim is simple: to help healers be visible and connected, while protecting the privacy and dignity of everyone involved.
